3 Months

Dear Charlie…

Wow! Three months! It feels like you have been a part of our family for so much longer. You continue to amaze us with your easy-going personality. We have continued our adventures with you in tow during this holiday season, including celebrating your first Thanksgiving (Daddy shared a taste of his gravy), visiting Santa, your first sleepover (at Aunt Kathy’s) and singing Happy Birthday to Mommy.

This past month you have become very aware of your surroundings. Dinner time is pretty funny as you intently stare at each piece of food we eat – often drooling. One of my favorite things you now do is make your bouncy seat jump up and down. You get so excited to see the swinging animals move! I have a feeling you won’t be waiting as long as your brother and sister to get your walking feet. The one thing you do share with your siblings is your hefty size – you are a loveable 18 pounds already – which means there is lots of room to hug and kiss you!

You have also started smiling non-stop this past month. No matter how rough the day, your smile makes everything seem better. Some of the biggest smiles come when you are getting undressed – not sure what that means for the future! Mommy and Daddy are smiling a lot more lately too – you have started sleeping about 8 to 10 hours at a time. A few nights you even go 12 hours – those days we REALLY smile!

You have definitely been a very good boy so I am sure Santa will bring lots of goodies for you in a few weeks!

Love,
Mommy and Daddy

He is SOOOO cute! I can't believe he is 18 pounds already. Sounds like he is growing fast.
