I have finally come to terms with the fact that we watch entirely too much reality TV in our house...particularly dancing shows. Max's class is learning about Presidents for President's Day this month. Yesterday the class was learning about the voting system and that we will be voting for a new President this year. When the teacher asked if anyone knew what it meant to vote, Max eagerly provided his explanation. The Presidential nominees both dance. Next everyone calls to vote for their favorite dancer. The person with the most votes wins and thus, becomes President. If only the system was that easy :)
An a separate note, Max is a full-fledged "Lion" now at school. He has moved up to the 4-year old room. He absolutely loves it. In his first two days, he earned enough points to get a prize from the reward basket...he is now the proud owner of a Mickey Mouse pencil. Lucy is starting at Max's school next week...so we will have a Lion and a Lamb...quite appropriate for March, I think!
