Max woke up at his usual 5:30 AM this morning...he played hard all morning until his 10 AM basketball game...he ran around crazy for over an hour at his game...we take both children car shopping until 1:15 this afternoon...skipping lunch along the way and instead snacking on Valentine's candy throughout the car shopping adventure. We attempt to leave the car dealer without a new car...which was the incentive to get Max to agree to go in the first place. Meltdown of all meltdown ensues. Max is tantruming like a two year old as we attempt to load both tired, hungry, cranky children in the car...all because we are leaving without a new car. We finally have both buckled in and start the drive home.
Somewhere between the dealer and our house, Max just starts screaming that he is going to take his pants off...I am not sure if it was the lack of food, the abundance of Valentine's candy or the sheer exhaustion. This was the end result...
Max proceeded to not only take his pants off, he took off his underwear, socks and shirt. He kept waiting for us to yell at him. He managed to complete this task while remaining completely buckled in his car seat. We drove the remainder of the twenty minutes home with Max in his birthday suit.
In the end, we did end up buying a car today...without Max. Both children spent the afternoon recovering with Gram and PopPop while Chris and I bought a minivan. Now Max will have more room to undress.

Oh my goodness. What a scene that must have been!(And kind of impressive...while buckled no less. :) Glad you were able to find a vehicle. I drive a minivan. I miss my car, but it does have the room we need...
