Max and Gato's Day of Fun

Gato is still having a lovely vacation...today was his busiest day yet! I had been planning on taking a half day to spend the afternoon with Max after his check-up. Of course, it was perfect timing for Gato...he got to tag along for all of the fun. Rudy will be very happy to know that Gato checked out perfectly at the doctor's...he had all of his vital signs taken and was weighed...he tips the scales at just under one pound. Might be time to put Gato on a diet :) Gato also listened very attentively as Max's doctor went over some safety tips with him...no talking to strangers, how to find help in a store if you lose a parent and what to do if a friend wants you do something you know is wrong. Max reviewed all of the tips with Gato several times on the car ride home...so, if Gato becomes seperated from Rudy in a store, he now knows to ask a female worker for help! Here are Max and Gato waiting....

After the doctor's visit, we headed out to enjoy the beautiful spring weather by playing a round of mini golf. Max kindly explained to Gato that animals are not allowed on the course, so Gato patiently waited for us in the car. He was rewarded for his good behavior in the car with a sundae...

The doctor also reminded Max how important car seats and booster seats are for safety...good thing Lucy wasn't with us, otherwise she may have had to share her seat with Gato...

After our ice cream, we took the van for its first car wash...Max also insisted that it was Gato's first time through a car wash, so it was picture-worthy...We wrapped up our afternoon o' fun with a trip to the outlets to buy some new Crocs and bathing suits for Max...and, of course, a few rides. I felt a little silly taking pictures of a stuffed animal riding by itself on the rides, so you will just have to use your imagination for the last leg of our adventure!

And, in case you were wondering, Max checked out just fine...I really could have let him go in by himself...he talked the doctor's ear off the entire time and answered all her questions without any help from me!
