We woke up to a beautiful day with no plans...quite a change from the past few weekends. We called Kathy and Paul to see what primo Rudy had planned for the day...turns out it was Mayfest in Smithville. For starting the day with no plans, we certainly packed it full with loads of fun by the end of the day. Max and Rudy started the day with a carousel ride, followed by lunch, a train ride, a moonbouce and hours of playing in Rudy's backyard.
Max and Rudy took turns pulling each other in Rudy's buggy...we were all happy to let them wear themselves out as long as we didn't have to pull the monkeys around.

As we were saying our good-bye's, Max and Rudy decided to serenade us with the alphabet song...
We owe a Rudy a big thank you...he really wore Max and Lucy out...they slept most of the way home. We actually were able to go out to a nice sit-down restaurant for dinner because they were both rested.

Lulu loved spending some time with Louie on the blanket in Rudy's backyard. Louie knew he should stay close by since Lulu was feeding herself...I have a feeling I would vacuum under Lucy's highchair a lot less if Louie lived with us.
All in all, it was a fabulous day with Rudy.

Glad LuLu didn't scream the whole way home. Rudy was just as tired - think how well the kids are going to sleep on vacation!
