The tears started welling up as we pulled into the parking lot and I saw this sign...I still remember pulling in to the parking lot four years ago with a tiny toddler in my back seat.
Max officially became a member of the Class of 2009 today...the ceremony at his school was beautiful and we could tell his class worked hard. It was an official graduation ceremony - including the music playing as they graduates walked in hand-in-hand...Max with his best friend, G., of course!

During the ceremony, each student was given an opportunity to tell what they wanted to be when they grow up. There were lots of dancers, teachers, singers and fire fighters. Max declared he wanted to be a police officer - as did a majority of the boys.

The class sang numerous songs, including one entirely in Spanish and another one using the sign language alphabet.
Here are a few pictures of Max with his favorite teachers of all time...Ms. Shanna and Ms. Steph. Not only are these two teachers wonderful educators, they are just great individuals. I cannot think of anyone else I would rather have teaching my son life lessons.

Max with his buddy E. These two characters are often on opposing sports teams for the Y, so hopefully we will continue to run into E. over the years.
The Three Amigos. Max with his buddies C. and G. These three are the best of friends. Luckily, Max will be going to kindergarden with G. next year. Max and G. have been best buddies since he started at Goddard. The two of them often asked their teachers if they could get married when they get older! We all exchanged contact information and hope to have lots of playdates with these two characters over the summer.

Ironically, Max graduated from pre-K exactly 15 years to the day I graduated from high school!

Oh, you are young. :) I have my 20 year reunion this year. Anyway, congrats to Max! Those milestones don't get easier...kindergarten, fifth grade/middle school. Well, not easier for the mom anyway. Have a wonderful weekend!
