Ready for Take-Off
No visit to the Outer Banks is complete without a trip to the Wright Brothers Memorial marking the first flight. Max enjoyed seeing the first airplane and was intriqued by the idea of a man laying down to fly a plane. Uncle Paul explained the first flight to Max on the way down to OBX. Apparently, Max wanted to know where the second flight went as well...the boy is unbelievable at asking questions. And, the answer is also Kitty Hawk...the Wright Brothers took four flights in Kitty Hawk. I now need to go research where the fifth flight took off...I am sure it is only a matter of time before Beefy asks.
