Take it to the house

Chris and I have been in a co-ed football league for 9 years...we have managed to play through planning our wedding, buying a house and two pregnancies...not much can stop our Saturday morning ritual in Fairmount Park. We play for the Philly Sport and Social League. Granted there was much more socializing during the early years than we have time (or energy!) for now, but nonetheless, we still enjoy the time catching up with friends.

Max, being the sports nut that he is, loves to join us for Saturday mornings in Fairmount Park...Uncle Bill and Aunt Renee even made him a shirt so he is an honorary member of our team. Although from the looks of how the team is playing this year, Max may need to suit up and jump in a game very soon!
Max is playing flag football this Spring for the Y. He had his first practice last week...the coach had the kids running laps and doing jumping jacks. At the end of the practice, Max was given a playbook to study...he calls it his workbook! I am holding judgement on how this adventure is going to turn out...stay tuned for the many blog posts about the insanity that is sure to come for the next 8 weeks.
Lucy, on the other hand, does not appear to have the same appreciation for our pasttime! This past Saturday, she whined for the first half of the game before giving up, pulling the blanket over her face and sleeping for the entire second half.
